Fodor Fotos & Film – Client Care & Service Policy

At Fodor Fotos & Film, I value working with people who appreciate kindness, respect, and a positive creative experience. To make sure every project feels smooth and enjoyable for both of us, here are the guidelines I follow for all clients.

1. The Right Fit Matters
I want every project to feel aligned for both of us.
If at any time I feel that we are not a good match in communication, expectations, or working style, I may choose not to move forward with the project.
This helps ensure that every client receives the best experience possible.

2. Respectful Communication Only
I create in an environment of mutual respect, kindness, and professionalism.
I may stop working on a project or decline future service if a client:
Speaks disrespectfully
Makes rude, aggressive, or derogatory comments
Creates unnecessary pressure or hostility
Makes the environment uncomfortable or stressful
I believe great work comes from great energy, so I protect that space carefully.

3. Booking & Retainers
To officially book a date or project, a non-refundable retainer is required.
Your retainer secures your spot on my calendar and includes the temporary storage of your files.
No date is held without a paid retainer.

4. File Storage
Your project includes storage for your final files for a limited time, as stated in your contract.
Once your gallery or files are delivered:
Please download and back them up
Long-term storage or re-uploading isn’t guaranteed
The client is responsible for saving their final files

5. Ending a Project
If communication becomes disrespectful or the working relationship is no longer healthy, I may choose to end the project. All payments made up to that point remain non-refundable, and no further services will be provided.
This protects both you and me from continuing a collaboration that doesn’t feel good or aligned.

6. A Shared Creative Experience
My goal is to create beautiful, meaningful work while keeping the process smooth and enjoyable.
When both sides communicate openly, respectfully, and positively, the experience (and final result) is always better.

Raw files are available upon request under the following conditions:
Raw files are delivered exactly as captured — unedited, uncorrected, and “as is.”
This includes any natural imperfections such as lighting variations, LED banding, or test shots.
No editing services will be provided now or in the future.
Releasing the raw files closes the project and our working relationship for that job.
All payments are final and non-refundable.
Raw file delivery does not include revisions, corrections, or additional work.
Usage is non-exclusive and non-transferable.
You may use the raw files for your intended project, but you may not resell or redistribute them.
Fodor Fotos & Film retains full rights to use any footage for portfolio, website, or marketing purposes.
Files are delivered via download link, active for 7 days.
You are responsible for saving and backing up your files; storage is not guaranteed after delivery.

To receive raw files, full payment must be complete and the above policy must be acknowledged.
Q: Do you travel for sessions?
A: Yes, I am available for travel and destination sessions world wide. Travel fees may apply depending on the location. Please contact me for a customized quote.
Q:How long does a typical photo session last?
A: The length of a photo session depends on the type of shoot. A typical portrait session lasts about 1-2 hours, while events and weddings can range from 4-8 hours or more. We will discuss the details during the planning process to ensure ample time is allotted for your session.
Q: What should I wear for the photo session?
A: I recommend wearing something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Solid colors and minimal patterns work best. For family or group sessions, coordinating colors without matching exactly creates a cohesive look.
Q: How many photos will we receive?
A: The number of photos you receive depends on the type and length of the session. For a standard portrait session, you can expect around 20-30 edited images. For events and weddings, the number can range from 200-800 edited images, depending on the coverage.
Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?
A: If the weather is not conducive to an outdoor shoot, we can reschedule at no additional cost.
Q: How long does it take to receive my photos?
A: The typical turnaround time for photo delivery is 3 days to 1.5 weeks. This allows time for thorough editing to ensure each image meets my quality standards.
Q:How far in advance should I book a session?
A: It's best to book your session at least 2 weeks - 1 month in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons such as spring and summer. However, feel free to contact me for last-minute inquiries, and I'll do my best to accommodate you!
Q: What are the best times for a photo session?
A: The best times for taking photos are during sunrise, sunset, dusk, and dawn. I particularly love capturing images during the Golden Hour and Blue Hour, as these times provide beautiful, soft lighting that enhances the overall look of the photos. However, I am comfortable and experienced in shooting both indoor and outdoor sessions in any lighting conditions, ensuring high-quality results no matter the time of day.
Q:Can I order prints and albums through you?
A: Absolutely! I offer a variety of print and album options. You can order directly from your online gallery, and all products are created using high-quality materials to ensure your memories last a lifetime.
Q: How do you handle editing and retouching?
A: I meticulously edit each photo for color balance, exposure, and composition. Additional retouching, such as skin smoothing and object removal, is included to ensure the highest quality finish.
Q: Can we bring props or pets to the session?
A: Yes, feel free to bring props that have special meaning to you. Pets are also welcome, but please let me know in advance so I can prepare for their inclusion in the session.
Q: Will our photos be featured on your website or social media?
A: I love showcasing my work and celebrating my clients' stories. However, if you prefer your photos to remain private, please let me know, and I will respect your wishes.
Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?
A: If the weather is not conducive to an outdoor shoot, we can reschedule at no additional cost
q: How long does it take to receive the edited images?
A:The edited images take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on the season.
Q: How do we secure our booking?
A: To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required. This ensures your date and time are reserved.
Q: What happens if the photographer is unable to attend our session?
A: In the unlikely event that I cannot attend your session due to an emergency, I will make arrangements for a trusted, professional photographer to take my place. You will be informed and assured of continued high-quality service.
Q: Do you provide digital backups of the photos?
A: Yes, I provide digital backups of your photos for a long time (as long as hard drive is in working order). You will have access to an online gallery where you can download and share your images securely for 4 months to a year for weddings.
Q: What is included in the final photo delivery?
A: The final delivery includes professionally edited, high-resolution digital images. Depending on your package, it may also include prints, albums, and other photo products. You will receive access to an online gallery where you can view and download your images.
Q: Can you accommodate special requests or specific photo ideas?
A: Absolutely! I love bringing clients' creative ideas to life. If you have specific poses, props, or themes in mind, please share them with me, and we'll incorporate them into the session.
Q: Can I download and share my proofing gallery?
A:Yes, you can download your proofing gallery, but please keep the following in mind:
Work in Progress: Although the images may look ready, they still require significant editing such as straightening, color balancing, skin retouching, object removal, and generative expansion. Sharing or tagging unfinished work can misrepresent the quality of my final output.
Image Quality: If you save an image from the proofing gallery, it will be in low resolution and appear pixelated when zoomed in. The final edited images will be delivered in much higher resolution.
Final Selection: I retain the raw images for editing until the final edits are delivered and you are satisfied with your choices. After delivery, the proofing gallery will be removed and raw files will no longer be stored to save space. Please make sure to select all the images you love before final delivery.
